‘Rustom’: Akshay Kumar is dapper as Naval officer in this striking poster

Akshay Kumar revealed his Naval officer look in his upcoming film ‘Rustom’ earlier this year, and now the first poster of the film has also been released. The actor took to Twitter to release the poster.
“Rustom's patriotism & integrity were questioned. Did he fight back?#3DaysToRustomTrailer@Rustom_Film,” the ‘Airlift’ actor wrote with the poster on the micro-blogging site.
The poster has Akshay decorated as a Naval Commander sporting shades and a moustache and has the word ‘Patriot?’ written in red with a question mark across it. There is a faint image of a newspaper in the backdrop and has bullet marks on the title of the film. The poster also announces the release date of its trailer on Thrusday, June 30.
The movie is said to be based on the real incident of the infamous Nanavati case of 1959 in which Naval Commander Kawas Manekshaw Nanavati was charged with the murder of his wife’s lover and tried in court.
Akshay will be seen in the garb of a Naval officer for the first time. He has previously donned the uniformed look in ‘Holiday: A Soldier is Never Off Duty’ as an Army officer and in ‘Andaaz’ as and Air Force officer.
‘Rustom’ also stars Ileana D’cruz, Esha Gupta and Arjan Bajwa. It has been directed by Tinu Suresh and produced by Neeraj Pandey who has previously directed Akshay in ‘Special 26’ and ‘Baby’. The movie is slated to release on August 12 on the occasion of Independence Day.
