Dhoom Reloaded: Shahrukh, Ranveer Singh to play villain-cop

YRF is planning on the fourth installment of the successful ‘Dhoom’ series. It is learnt that the makers have roped in Shahrukh Khan to play the antagonist and Abhishek Bachchan has been replaced by Ranveer Singh to play the good cop.
Says a source, “Shah Rukh has been approached by Chopra for D4. Talks about dates and remuneration are on. Salman was approached before SRK, but he’s very clear right now about not playing a negative character. Shah Rukh has done it in quite a few films before, so he has no reservations. Also, it’s not a baddie in the true sense of the word. Dhoom baddies are cool and stylish. It’s more in the Don space, which works for SRK.”
The source adds. “Adi’s strategy worked with each Dhoom being bigger than the earlier one at the box-office In Dhoom Reloaded, while Ranveer will now be ACP Jai Dixit, Uday Chopra, who played Ali, will sit out of this project.”
Aditya Chopra’s ‘Dhoom’ franchise is growing bigger and interesting with every franchise. In the first, second and third franchise John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan played the antagonist and now the fourth installment of ‘Dhoom’, titled, ‘Dhoom Reloaded’ will see Shahrukh Khan and Ranveer Singh playing the villain and the cop.
