Arjun’s special gift for Mouni Roy inspired by Gerard Butler

COLORS popular mystical thriller, Naagin has been ruling the television screens since its inception. Our lead actors Arjun Bijlani and Mouni Roy who slithered into the hearts of viewers and became their favorite owing to their outstanding performance in the show, recently had their own fan moment.

A source from the set revealed that viewer’s favorite Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani recently confessed their adulation for their most favorite Hollywood actor Gerard Butler and Nikolaj Coster. And that’s when they even realized one more thing that’s common between them. The two are very good friends in real life, they spoke about how excited they are for Gerard Butler’s upcoming movie ‘Gods of Egypt’. Taking inspiration from the movie, Arjun Bijlani gifted Mouni the famous pendant similar to the one in the movie. Mouni Roy was excited and elated on receiving the pendant. She spoke about her love for Nikolaj Coster and his character Jaime Lannister from her favorite show Game of Thrones. She also spoke about how her character Shivanys’s journey in Naagin is similar to the storyline of ‘Gods of Egypt’. Arjun Bijlani shared how much he is inspired from Gerard in many ways and is looking forward to watch his movie. Like their show Naagin both Arjun and Mouni are excited to watch how good wins over evil in the movie Gods of Egypt. This surely speaks volumes about the chemistry the duo shares off screen and clearly justifies the reason for the success of the show.

The youngest Khiladi of Khatron Ke Khiladi bids adieu to the game show!

Khatron Ke Khiladi- Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda has been creating a lot of excitement amongst the viewers from the very beginning. The challenges and the power- packed stunts have been giving the contestants a tough time. After Sidharth Shukla’s shocking exit last week, the fifth week of the game show is sure to bring in new set of surprises for the viewers.

As the youngest contestant of the show, Faisal Khan has never missed a chance to showcase his skills in performing any task. Faisal’s journey in Khatron Ke Khiladi has been incredible as he always went an extra mile to excel in every stunt and made his team win. He was amongst the few contestants across seasons to have performed the maximum number of stunts. Be it facing his most dreaded fears or giving the rival team member a run for their money, Faisal was nothing less than 100%. His outstanding performance in any given task, week after week won him many pats on his back from the filmy host Arjun Kapoor as well as his team members.

Speaking on his exit from the show, Faisal said, “My journey on Khatron Ke Khiladi has been an eventful one. It was a dream show and if given a chance I would want to start all over again. It was not just a stunt based reality show, with each day a show like Khatron Ke Khiladi leaves you with lessons for lifetime and courage to fight the odds. I wish this journey was a little longer but I go back with much more than just an experience, with tons of good memories and handful of friends. I did my best and I guess I performed the most number of tasks till now and I am glad that at such a young age I got to be a part of this incredible journey. I enjoyed every bit of my stay in Argentina. It was a pleasure sharing the screen with a host like Arjun Kapoor he has been supportive throughout. I wish good luck to all the contestants. May the strongest contestant win!”

Undeniably, Faisal Khan was one of the toughest contenders in the show and his failure to beat Tina in the elimination stunt came as a shock to everyone. Faisal has always been a ‘chota packet bada dhamaka’ for the viewers which was proved yet again!

Don’t miss to watch a yet another exciting episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi- Kabhi Peeda, Kabhi Keeda every Saturday and Sunday at9:00pm only on COLORS!

Rajkumar Hirani to have an extensive session with Sanjay Dutt

Mumbai, 2016 Rajkumar Hirani has been working on the script of Sanjay Dutt’s biopic for a while now.
However, although the film-maker, along with co-writer Abhijat Joshi, is almost ready with the final draft of the script, some of the most crucial parts of the movie will be written when the actor is released from jail by the end of this month.
Rajkumar Hirani doesn’t want to take any chances. That’s why, although he has nearly finished work on the final draft of the script, he will work on some of the most crucial parts of the story after Sanjay finishes his sentence. In fact, the 53-year-old film-maker is looking forward to an extensive session with Sanjay, either towards the end of February or in March.
“I have finished a few drafts of the script, which I even bounced off Sanjay, when he was out [on parole]. I took all his inputs into consideration, as to where we were going right or wrong,” says Hirani. The film-maker, who has worked with the actor on the successful Munna Bhai series, admits that he finds Sanjay’s life very interesting and fascinating.

“It’s an unbelievable story. We aren’t going to glorify anything about Sanjay, but we will tell a fantastic story. Script-wise, this film requires less work, so I should be able to make it faster,” added Hirani.

Ferrari 488 GTB boasts a sleek new design

Turbo engine, revolutionary aerodynamics & a plethora of patented solutions
Mumbai, 2016 Feb  Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the 488 GTB’s sculptural forms are completely new. They accentuate the car’s sportiness yet retain the classically clean, pure lines typical of Ferrari’s legendary styling.

The seamless interweaving of form and function is clear in every detail, in fact. Certain design elements are also obvious nods to the past, not least the 308 GTB-inspired styling of the flanks.
The extreme power required by the car is delivered by the new 3902 cm3 turbo engine which is coupled with a seven-gear F1 dual-clutch gearbox featuring Variable Boost Management which optimally distributes torque (a maximum 750 Nm in seventh gear). The 488 GTB guarantees exuberant performance that is absolutely exploitable to the fullest regardless of driving conditions and is accompanied by a deep, seductive soundtrack, the signature of all Ferrari engines.
The 488 GTB’s revolutionary aerodynamics incorporate patented solutions, such as the blown rear spoiler, as well as innovative features like the 458 GT-derived aerodynamic under body with vortex generators. The result is a new efficiency record for a Ferrari (E=1.67). Downforce increases to 325 kg at 250 km/h, thanks in part to active aerodynamic devices which reduce drag whilst simultaneously generating downforce when required.
The 488 GTB’s dynamic vehicle controls have also been further evolved. It sports a new version of the Side Slip Control System (SSC2) which, aside from just integrating with the car’s F1-Trac and E-Diff, now also controls the active dampers. This renders the 488 GTB’s dynamic behaviour during complex manoeuvres even flatter and more stable, so that less expert drivers can enjoy its potential to the fullest, resulting in an astonishingly engaging driving experience.

Hindi movie review of TERE BIN LADEN - Dead or Alive

Produced by - Pooja Shetty Deora, Aarti Shetty

Director -    Abhishek Sharma

Cast -      Manish Paul, Sikander Kher,

Pradhuman Singh, Mia Uyeda, Piyush Mishra

Mumbai, 2016 Feb : People often tend to feel sad when they expect one thing and get something different. A sequel is expected to be better than its prequel or at least match the standards of its prequel. But Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive shatters this assumption and turns out to be a dud! From the beginning to the end, it looks as if it is a child's play going on onscreen. It seems to have been written on the sets and shot on the same day. Who cares to see lookalike of Osama Bin Laden and Barack Obama until and unless there is no entertainment.

The film follows the happenings after Osama Bin Laden's mysterious death in a US led operation that became like a feather in the cap for US President Barack Obama. The story begins with the controversy that shakes the whole world, particularly US President. Media claims that Osama Bin Laden is alive that serves as a disappointment for US Administration inclusive of its whole agencies that work for it.

Terrorist gangs of the world have a morale boost with this news. The US wants to prove to the world that they shot him dead while Khalili (Piyush Mishra), the terrorist arm dealer wants the world to believe he is alive. The film is a whacky comical satire that transpires in this desperate tug of war between US & the terrorists. Stuck in this distressed crossfire is a budding Bollywood director, Sharma (Manish Paul) looking for a big break, gets hired by US agent David Chaddha (Sikander Kher) on the pretext of making a Hollywood film on Osama using double of Osama, Paddi Singh (Pradhuman Singh). The hidden motive is to shoot a fake tape to prove his death. But for the actors and the director, it is a real movie and they are excited that they are doing a movie. This creates a mess till the end when even real Osama comes into picture.

Few moments in the film are real funny but overall the film is stuck in buffoonery and it fails to retain our interest. Content fails the film first and then the direction. It has never been easy to tease the audiences by such films. Sarcasm has been used in a better manner at times and some songs are good. The film will draw initial audience on basis of its promotion but the word of mouth will kill its chances to run for long time. Already it is competing with many films that are released at the same time, so the only hope for it is luck, luck, luck! Not a good choice to invest money but those who like comedy, in whatever form, can go and watch.

Marathi movie review - TICHA UMBARTHA

Producer -  Ravi Dewan

Director -  Pradeep Ghonsikar

Cast -   Tejaswini Pandit, Chinmay Mandlekar,    Jyothi Chandekar, Harsha Khandeparkar, Suyash Tilak, Sheetal Shukl, Toolieka Nikam, Jaywant Patekar, Abhinav Patekar, Aaditi Savant, Bharat Sharma

Mumbai, 2016 Feb  When you watch this film, it will make you think and the thoughts will linger long after you have left the theatre. Well written, nicely directed and and fantastic performances, particularly by the protagonist played by Tejaswini Pandit. The story revolves around the protagonist, Vibhavari lovingly called as Vibha. She gets married to Dinesh Mhatre (Chinmay Mandlekar), a successful man who runs an ad agency. All is well between the couple at start. The love and the respect for each other seems to be perfect. They have a daughter, whom both of them love a lot though Chinmay is mostly engrossed in his business. Vibha is a perfect housewife who manages each and everything. She takes care of her mother-in-law like a mother and they share a good relationship. Jyothi Chandekar has donned the role of the mother-in-law.

Dinesh has an affair with Nandita (Harsha Khandeparkar), who works in his agency. Slowly he starts to remain aloof from his family and spends time in office even when he has no work. He comes late and turns into an irritable person. And then one day, he suddenly, in the dead of night, tells Vibha that he wants a divorce. He accuses her of neglecting him, not taking care of him like she showed at start. It is a long impressive scene that ends in an emotional trauma for Vibha, who never had thought of such a thing happening to her.

Vibha accepts the divorce as her fate. But she is not an underdog because she controls the situation bravely. Instead of Vibha leaving the house, Dinesh has to leave  as per his mother's decision. Dinesh gets married to Nandita but it is not a smooth ride for the couple. The problems again hit his relationship with Nandita. On other side, Vibha takes control of her single life with her daughter and her mother-in-law and sister-in-law. With time, Dinesh and Nandita's relationship gets in trouble. Nandita leaves him.  Vibha is going up both professionally and personally. She gets a marriage proposal from her friend who is her boss also. Dinesh also comes to Vibha for an apology. Whom will Vibha choose is the question!

Somehow the film has a take on the divorced women and women in general also. It has a scene where it is shown that a woman's parental property goes to her brothers and after marriage, the property of her husband goes to her sons. And so what is the future of a woman in such a society, where she doesn't own anything of her own. The film in the end has a line superimposed that some lines should never be crossed. The ending is perfect as per the modern time. The film is a women empowerment film and has already won accolades. Tejaswini Pandit has bring her character alive and motivated the women to take control of their lives in a proper manner without falling for illusions. A must watch film it is!
