Superstar Shahrukh Khan will grace the first episode of ‘Koffee With Karan’ season 5. Karan Johar confirmed the news tweeting, "Yes opening episode has to be him (Shah Rukh Khan) and no one else."
During a Twitter interaction with a fan, Karan Joharconfirmed the news saying Shahrukh Khan will be his first guest on the chat show. In reply to a fan’s question on whether SRK would be invited to Koffee with Karan this time, Karan said, “Yes opening episode has to be him and no one else.”
When King Khan did not turn up for the fourth season of the chat show, ‘Koffee with Karan’, it raised many eyebrows.
In the first season, Shahrukh Khan appeared in three episodes, first, eighth episode and the last episode. In the second season, SRK was the first guest, alongside Rani Mukerji and Kajol, and he later turned up for the 24thepisode where he made an appearance with Farah Khan and Deepika Padukone. He also opened the third season with a special message and made a solo appearance in the 9th episode.
However, the fourth season of the show saw Salman Khan as the first guest and Shahrukh did not make appearance in any episodes.
The filmmaker also confirmed that the show will kick-start this year. When a fan asked Karan about the much talked about film, ‘Shuddhi’, he gave a twisted reply, shuddhi is happening or not??” Koffee with Karan will be happening in September/October this year.
