22-year-old Alia Bhatt has been roped in to play Hrithik Roshan’s ladylove in the musical love story ‘Aashiqui 3’. The sequel starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal was a blockbuster. After a long gap, the sequel was made with Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, which also turned out to be a massive hit. Now the third instalment of the successful franchise with Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt will be made.
Alia Bhatt grabbed the role of the female lead by defeating Sonam Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut. It was highly speculated that Sonam Kapoor will be cast opposite Hrithik after the duo starred in the music video, ‘Dheere Dheere Se’ but later the ‘Neerja’ star confirmed that she is not going to be a part of the project.
News also surfaced that T-series was keen to sign Kangana Ranaut for ‘’Aashiqui 3’ but she was rejected following Hrithik Roshan’s awkwardness i shooting with the actress after the ruour of their alleged affair did the round.
Fresh pair of Hrithik and Alia will be a treat for the audience. Hope the third part of ‘Aashiqui’ becomes triple success then the prequel and the sequel.
Currently, Alia Bhatt is busy shooting for her upcoming flick ‘Kapoor and sons’ and next she will be seen in Gauri Shinde’s untitled film opposite Shah Rukh Khan while Hrithik Roshan is currently filming Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Mohenjo Daro’.
