Yogayatan Port is one of the most iconic projects undertaken by the Yogayatan Group in recent times. India’s commercial capital, Mumbai has always been in need of an ever increasing infrastructure, which led to the planned development of this multi-phased port.

The port is located in Mankhurd, at a distance of 100 meter from Thane Creek Railway Bridge, connecting Mankhurd (Mumbai) and Vashi (Navi Mumbai), at a distance of 10 Nautical miles from Jawaharlal Nehru Port. Its strategic location is close to Mumbai city, 10 kms from the commercial centre of Mumbai.

Yogayatan is contemplating to develop the port facility in multiple phases including a multipurpose cargo port for loading and un-loading of dry bulk cargo; a ship building and ship repair yard; Thermal Power plant; LNG Receiving, Re-gasification and Re-Loading Terminal; container terminal and supply base and passenger terminal.

The facility will also ensure feeder movement of cargo received by road and rail toother nearby ports.  The facility is expected to complement Mumbai Port in line with the Government of India’s policy to reduce congestion and pressure on existing ports. Besides these operational benefits, some of the other benefits of the site are its strategic location close to the industrial area of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai which is benefiting from large investment, including a planned SEZ.  Additionally, Yogayatan Ports has several location advantages such as proximity to international sea-route, low dredging requirements, natural all-weather harbour advantage, and connectivity to national / regional road.

The all-weather port will have accessibility to multiple cargos with an aim to support industrial development in the region.

Yogayatan group expects a number of development and operating opportunities to flourish in due course of time, to broaden horizons of the group’s activities. The success of this expansion will enable it to become India’s prominent private port and logistics operator.
