The desi girl of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra has added another feature on her hat. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress has been named among 100 most influential people by Time’s Magazine, 2016. She adored the cover page of one of Time’s six special editions. Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Christine Lagarde and Lin-Manuel Miranda cover the other editions.
"What a way to start the day," Priyanka tweeted.
#What a way to start the day! #Time100’s list of achievers! Humbled, overwhelmed and feeling so blessed.
#Thank U @time for including me in such an illustrious list of achievers. #Gobsmacked to have made the cut!#Time100 https://twitter.com/TeamPriyanka/status/723112513198383109 …
"I don't want to be called an actor, I don't want to be called a star," Priyanka says in an interview to Time, "I think that the movies that I do, I'm irreplaceable and the boys are replaceable."
After dominating Bollywood, Priyanka is gradually firming her foot in Hollywood and making India proud in the international platform. After her album, ‘Single’, Priyanka grabbed Hollywood TV series ‘Quantico’ and earned huge accolades.
She also won a People's Choice award, presented an Oscar, appeared on talk shows hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon and is currently shooting her debut Hollywood film, ‘Baywatch’, opposite Dwayne Johnson. There are enough reasons for Piggy Chops to get listed her name in the 100 most influential people catalogue.
RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, tennis star Sania Mirza, Flipkart co-founders Binny and Sachin Bansal, environmentalist and Google CEO Sundar Pichai also appear in the list. From Hollywood, Adele, Melissa McCarthy, Charlize Theron, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kendrick Lamar, Caitlyn Jenner, Oscar issac, Taraji P Henson, Ariana Grande and Idris Elba are listed.
