Priyanka Chopra in Time’s 100 Achievers’ list, says she’s blessed

The desi girl of Bollywood Priyanka Chopra has added another feature on her hat. The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress has been named among 100 most influential people by Time’s Magazine, 2016. She adored the cover page of one of Time’s six special editions. Leonardo DiCaprio, Nicki Minaj, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, Christine Lagarde and Lin-Manuel Miranda cover the other editions.

"I don't want to be called an actor, I don't want to be called a star," Priyanka says in an interview to Time, "I think that the movies that I do, I'm irreplaceable and the boys are replaceable."

After dominating Bollywood, Priyanka is gradually firming her foot in Hollywood and making India proud in the international platform. After her album, ‘Single’, Priyanka grabbed Hollywood TV series ‘Quantico’ and earned huge accolades.

She also won a People's Choice award, presented an Oscar, appeared on talk shows hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon and is currently shooting her debut Hollywood film, ‘Baywatch’, opposite Dwayne Johnson. Aamir Khan visits Dilip Kumar in hospital

Perfectionist Aamir Khan visited Dilip Kumar at Lilavati hospital. Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Mumbai Lilavati hospital following respiratory problems on April 16 is said to be stable and likely to be discharged in a day or two.

"He is much better and is on road to recovery. He will get discharged today at 4 PM," Dr Jalil Parkar, who is attending to him along with other doctors, told a news agency.

The actor is stable and is also having his food properly, the doctor added.

Meanwhile, Dilip Saab thanked his fans and followers on Twitter for their prayers:

"Dilip Sahab was admitted to Lilavati Hospital for treatment of high fever and chest infection on April 15 night. He was advised intravenous administration of antibiotics for speedy recovery," said Saira Banu in a statement earlier.

Debuted with 1944 movie ‘Jwar Bhatta', he was presented with Padma Vibushan in 2015 by Home Minister Rajnath Singh. Known as the "tragedy king", Dilip Kumar was honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke award in 1994.

Shahrukh Khan to appear in Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’?

Ever since the two Khan superstars – Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan came together in one frame late last year in the later’s show ‘Bigg Boss’ after their much publicised feud, fans have been wanting to see them together on the big screen too. It might just happen.

According to the latest buzz, Shah Rukh is likely to appear in Salman’s upcoming film ‘Sultan’.

A source close to the wrestling-based film was quoted by DNA that a few weeks ago, the ‘Dilwale’ actor dropped in on the sets of ‘Sultan’ to meet Salman and Farah Khan who was choreographing a song for the film. When he was on the set, they recorded bits of the actors interacting, possibly for the making of the film.

Later, the team decided to incorporate those bits in the film. “There’s a scene in Sultan, which requires a celebrity to meet Salman. The team came up with the idea to include SRK’s footage for that scene,” the source added.

The source further said, “As they haven’t asked for SRK’s permission as yet, everything is kept hush-hush, but discussions are on to incorporate this footage into the film.”

Meanwhile, filmmakers Kabir Khan and Vijay Krishna Acharya aka Victor of ‘Dhoom’ fame, will also appear in ‘Sultan’. The duo will be seen directing the character of Salman as Haryanvi wrestler Sultan Ali Khan in commercials, in the film. “From being a poor wrestler, Salman becomes a celebrity in his own right and it is then that these two directors direct him in commercials,” the source said.

‘Sultan’ is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. Also starring Anushka Sharma, the movie is set to release on the occasion of Eid this year. 

‘One Night Stand’ trailer: Sunny Leone is bold – verbally as well

Sunny leone and Tanuj Virwanistarrer upcoming film ‘One Night Stand’ has released its trailer. As expected, the film has a lot of bold elements and Sunny sets the screen ablaze with her sizzling love making scenes. But, from the look of the trailer, this film seems to be different and not just about skin show and sex.

The former porn star has come a long way in Bollywood. While Sunny is extremely comfortable in her skin, she is impressive in the trailer delivering some hard-hitting dialogues that take on gender equality.

The two-and-half-minute trailer introduces Sunny as Selina, meaning sky and Tanuj as Urvil meaning sea. It provides glimpse of Selina and Urvil getting intimate in the bedroom to the bathroom. Soon, Urvil’s lust for Selina turns into obsession which wreaks havoc in Urvil’s married life with wife Simran. He pursues Selina, but she doesn’t want to harbour on their one-night stand and labels him a stalker. What follows is revenge, betrayal and hatred.

While Sunny has appeared in a considerable number of mainstream films since her debut in 2012, it will be the third release for Tanuj, son of yesteryear actress Rati Agnihotri. He debuted with ‘Luv U Soniyo’ in 2013 and was also seen in the forgettable 2014 film ‘Purani Jeans’.

The movie also stars Nyra Banerjee in an important role. Directed by Jasmine Moses D’Souza and produced by Furquan Khan and Pradeep Sharma, ‘One Night Stand’ is slated to release on April 22.

Salman Khan ignores Ranbir Kapoor at Anant Ambani’s birthday bash

Anant Ambani, younger son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani threw a bash on the occasion of his 21st birthday at the family home Antilla in South Mumbai. The party on Sunday night, April 10, was attended by Bollywood stars and celebrities from cricketing world, among others.

Interestingly, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, who are known to share cold vibes with each other, came under one roof at the party. Ranbir’s ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif had been in a relationship with Salman for a long time before dumping him for the ‘Rockstar’ actor.

Ever since, the two actors have avoided each other and maintained a safe distance. Ranbir drove in an hour after Salman’s arrival. The duo ignored each other, but freely mingled and chatted with other guests at the party, according to a report in DNA.

The party held a day after the opening match of IPL,2016 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS), saw the presence of Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is also the captain of the RPS team. He was accompanied by his wife Sakshi.

Cricketers Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal, who play for Reliance Industries-owned franchise Mumbai Indians, were also spotted. IPL chairman and politician Rajeev Shukla also graced the event.

Actor Aamir Khan and his filmmaker wife Kiran Rao were also present, while John Abraham was seen with his wife Priya Runchal after a long time. Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra along with his wife Anupama Chopra and music composer Anu Mallik also attended the party. 

Anant Ambani weight loss: Salman Khan respects Anant's willpower

Anant Ambani, youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani was recently praised by superstar Salman Khan. The 21-year-old Ambani scion who was obese due to medications, underwent a drastic weight loss session to shed 108 kilos in 18 months.

Salman lauded the youngster for his dedication and wrote on Twitter, “So happy to see Anant Ambani, lots of respect n sooo happy fr him. Takes a lot of willpower to loose 108kgs in 18mnths.” The actor also shared a selfie of him with Anant along with the post.

The ‘Dabangg’ Khan, who is known for his fit physique in tinsel town, has guided and inspired a lot of other people in the film industry to get a fit body, like Arjun Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Zarine Khan and others.

Anant was reportedly suffering from chronic asthma and the strong medications prescribed caused him to be obese. The young lad followed a strict diet and exercised rigorously for 5-6 hours a day. His regimen included a 21-km walk, yoga, weight training, functional training and high-intensity cardio exercises, and it has finally paid off.  

In fact, Salman’s father scriptwriter Salim Khan said that Anant looked “fitter” than the superstar himself. “Hats off Anant Ambani. You’ve inspired millions. The genes of Dhirubhai Ambani. Looking fitter than Salman,” he tweeted.

Salim Khan had joined the micro-blogging site late last month and Salman had welcomed his father by posting, “Luv u dad, wlcm to twitter @luvsalimkhan.”

Pinkathon Ambassadors Jayraman Rankawat & Inderpal Khalsa to run and Rana Uppalapati to skate 600kms distance to promote health and fitness and spread breast cancer awareness amongst women

Mumbai, April 06, 2016:  Goa going Pink a run only for women is first initiative by United Sister's Foundation in Goa conceptualised by Milind Soman. The objective of run is to raise awareness about breast cancer and to encourage women's health and fitness. The run will be held at Miramar Circle, Panjim, on Sunday, April 17th, 2016. To support this initiative Pinkathon Ambassadors Jayraman Rankawat & Inderpal Khalsa who are ultra-runners will run and national skating champion Rana Uppalapati willskate the entiredistance of 600 kilometres from Mumbai to Goa from 6^th April to 16^th April. The run was flagged off by Milind Soman today at 5am from Siddhivinayak Temple, Prabhadevi. Milind Soman also ran 30 kms to support the team. He will run a distance of 150 kms during the last three days of the run to be concluded at Panjim.

Commenting on this first of its kind initiative Milind Soman said, “The route from Mumbai to Goa has mainly rural population. We will be talking to people along the way about the cause. While we conduct run from one city to another, on the way people ask about the activity and through interaction we tell them about the social cause. Pinkathon is about taking care of yourself while spreading awareness about health and avoiding diseases.”

AbRam rests on his mom Gauri Khan’s shoulder

Energetic and media friendly AbRam looked little dull and unwell when he was recently spotted with his mother Gauri Khan at the airport. AbRam moods seem not so cheerful and he was clinging to his mommy shoulder as they walked out of the airport.

AbRam and Gauri were clicked when they returned from a short vacation. Gauri headed to an undisclosed location with his kids Suhana and AbRam and spend some quality time together.

Shahrukh Khan and his elder son Aryan skipped the family vacation. King Khan was busy with ‘Fan’ and ‘Raees’ while Aryan is busy with his studies.

Priyanka Chopra invited to dinner with Barack Obama at White House

After conquering the West with her hit series ‘Quantico’ and presenting at the prestigious Oscars, Priyanka Chopra has now been invited to the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. It will be the last Correspondents Dinner hosted by US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Besides Priyanka, Hollywood stars like Bradley Cooper, Lucy Liu, Jane Fonda and singer Gladys Knight have also been invited to the dinner to be held later this month.

However, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress who is busy shooting for her Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ and second season of ‘Quantico’, has not yet confirmed whether she will be attending the dinner or not.

"Priyanka is shooting for the new season of Quantico and also has a schedule of her maiden Hollywood film Baywatch lined up. Whether she will make it to the White House dinner or not will be clear only next week," The Times Of India quoted a source as saying.

The annual dinner is basically aimed at raising funds for journalism scholarships and recognising exemplary work in the profession.

The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner is traditionally attended by the President and the First Lady, who are joined by other senior government officials and members of the press corps, according to the official site of the WHCA.

Shahrukh to romance Anushka in Imtiaz Ali’s next

The ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma is back with yet another movie. According to the latest buzz, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka has been teamed up for Imtiaz Ali’s next venture.

It is going to be a laugh riot and King Khan will enact the role of a turbaned Sikh tourist. The film revolves around Shahrukh as how he interacts with the locals and returns to his home country in a very dramatic way. The untitled film will be shot in London and Punjab. This is going to be Anushka and Shahrukh’s third collaboration after ‘Rab De Bana Di Jodi’ and ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’.

Since both the actors are busy with their early commitments, they would only start working on the untitled comedy once they wrap up their projects.

Currently, Shahrukh Khan is busy with ‘Fan’, Raees’ and Gauri Shinde’s film with Alia Bhatt and Anushka is occupied with ‘Sultan’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

The actor would kickstart his day as early as 6 am while in the US and would follow a strict weight loss schedule.

His daily routine would include Aamir venturing into the hilly regions of the state to trek for hours at a stretch, this was followed by cycling, weight exercises, swimming and playing tennis.

A special diet was devised for Aamir during the period which he followed religiously.

Kareena Kapoor shines at LFW grand finale

Gorgeous Kareena Kapoor turned showstopper for designer Rohit Balat the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week. Kareena looks regal in a royal blue ethnic lehenga with gold and red embroidery.

The dress had the ‘chand’ or moon motif all over that added to the beauty and elegance. It was from Bal’s collection titled Koroshini, which means illuminate. At the press conference, Kareena said, “I loved the chand motif on the lehenga. It is something special.”

Speaking high about the educational institute, Kareena said, “It’s been a wonderful experience. For the first time Lakme has done a fashion show of this level at such a great monument like St Xavier’s. It’s been great…It was the best finale!”

"I am open in the sense that when I am doing fashion blogs, commercial films and other things ... But for films, you have to stick to the character. You can't just experiment just for the sake of it. You have to do different styles or do strange things to your hair and make-up just because you want to experiment. It has to stick to the character," said the actor.

Kareena says if a role demand for her to go bald, she would not go for it.

"I am not going to shave my head if that's the level of the experimentation," she said.

Akshay-Twinkle’s fun photoshoot for housing brand

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who was once said to be a ladies’ man, is now a complete family man. He and his actress-turned-entrepreneur wife Twinkle Khanna make for an adorable couple.

Akshay and Twinkle recently did a photoshoot for a housing brand they are endorsing.  The former actress provided a sneak-peak into their photoshoot and posted a cute but quirky picture of her and her hubby on Instagram. In the picture, Twinkle is seen in a black dress seated on a couch gracefully while Akshay seems to be in fun mood posing behind with one of his legs and arms raised. From the look of it, it seems they took it as a 'behind the scene' photo. 

The actress-turned-columnist captioned the picture, “Mr K literally and figuratively ran circles around me at this shoot #lodha ##MyHomeAm?ra.”

The ‘Airlift’ actor also shared a picture from the shoot on his social media account with the caption, “To live in a city, yet be surrounded by natural beauty. Where you can do more, live more every day. #MyHomeAm?ra.”

He is seen driving a blue open roof car along a tree-line road as his wife looks over. There is also a pet dog with them.

Akshay is currently shooting for Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’, a sequel of 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ (Robot), in which he plays the main antagonist. He will be next seen as a naval officer opposite Ilena D’Cruz in ‘Rustom’, which is slated to release on August 12.  

Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh hospitalised

Rahul Raj Singh, boyfriend of late actress Pratyusha Banerjee who allegedly committed suicide on Friday, was hospitalised after he complained of chest pain, low blood pressure and a bout of depression, on Sunday.

Rahul, who was detained by police for investigation over the ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress’ death was taken to Shree Sai Hospital, Kandivili East. He has been behaving wild, shouting and yelling after Pratyusha's tragic death, media reports stated.

"Rahul has been admitted to ICU. His condition is very fragile. He hasn't eaten. He is in a state of depression after Pratyusha's death. The doctors say if this continues, he will have brain haemorrhage," his lawyer Neeraj Gupta was quoted by a PTI.

The 24-year-old actress who also participated in reality shows ‘Bigg Boss 7’ and the recently concluded ‘Power Couple’, was found hanging with a ceiling fan at her Mumbai residence. It is said that she was reportedly facing problems in her relationship with Rahul which led her to take the extreme step.

Speculation was rife that Pratyusha was two months pregnant at the time of her death. The investigating officer, however, put an end to the rumours saying that they have not received any verbal or written reports from doctors who performed the autopsy. But the officer added that her viscera report which will come in a month will give a proper analysis.

Rahul was to face a second day of interrogation by police in connection with the actress’ suicide case.
