Big B was not paid, even bought his own tickets for India-Pakistan match

Rubbishing the rumour that megastar Amitabh Bachchancharged 4 crores for singing National Anthem at the India-Pakistan match held in Eden Gardens on Saturday, former Indian skipper Saurav Ganguly said, "Mr Bachchan is one and only, a special person. I am eternally grateful to him."
Further speaking to a leading Bengal daily, Saurav said, "Can you ever imagine someone paying Rs 30 lakhs of his own pocket to perform? He booked his own flight, bought his own tickets and even paid the hotel bills. I literally begged him to take some money but he said that I am doing it for love and there is no question of money being involved".
Amitabh's rendition of Jana Gana Mana captivated every Indian and many fans from across the globe even took to Twitter and Facebook to appreciate Amitabh for singing the national anthem.
Amitabh Bachchan sung ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with full patriotic feeing before the match kick-start. Present on the occasion was Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Saurav Gangular, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and many others.
In the nail-biting match, India beat Pakistan at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
