THE ROYAL LAUNCH OF GEM PALACE AT DHANRAJ MAHAL

All roads lead to GEM PALACE at Dhanraj Mahal on a beautifully cool Tuesday evening. Nestled in the green enclaves of one of Mumbai's most iconic and heritage structures, GEM PALACE at Dhanraj Mahal is the perfect amalgamation of opulence and elegance. 

Helmed by the Young, dynamic & creative – Siddharth Kasliwal, the scion of the Kasliwal Business Empire, the launch of GEM PALACE was one that is going to be talked about. Curated and conceptualised  by the multi facetted Aarti Surendranath, the special and quaint evening boasted of the who's who of Mumbai
and even people of who make rare public appearances like Smita Crishna-Godrej and more. Aarti decorated and transformed the place to host a magical evening and invited her friends to show some of the most unique pieces of jewellery. 

For the opening night, Siddharth Kasliwal especially arranged for select pieces that were the pride of GEM PALACE and have been displayed in Metropolitian Musuem of Art and The Kremlin in Moscow to be flown down and shown to the awed audience of Mumbai. From waistbelts made of the most superior quality of Columbian emeralds to  a headpiece for a South Indian bride made of diamonds and rubies and even a prized headgear made of emeralds for the Indian groom,  the who's who of Mumbai was treated to jewels that the city has never seen before!  Yet another highlight for the evening were the performance by the folk musicians of Rajasthan known as The Langaas who were especially flown in from Jaipur for the launch and even made the guests dance to their tunes! A seven line necklace worn by a Royal Princess at her wedding was also flown down. This magnum opus piece stole the show and guests were left stunned as 75 artisans had worked on this piece for over 3 and half years and it boasted of 1100 carats of diamond, 5500 carats of pearls and over a kg of gold! 

The guest list comprised of people who are rarely seen on the party circuit such as Uma Dubash and Smita Crishna-Godrej and spotted were celebs like Sagarika Ghatge, Vidya Malvade, Debbie Hitkari, Shalini Piramal, Shweta Shetty, Deepika Gehani, Indu Shahani, Renuka Batlivala, Padmini Kolhapure, Amy Billimoria, Sabira Merchant, Rouble Nagi, Malti Jain,  Seema Goel, Meena Raheja, Sabita Dhanrajgir 

and many more

Speaking on the launch, Aarti stated that, "Today I am so proud to see Siddharth taking the legacy forward.
