The Greatest Maharashtrian Wedding Festival is here..!

Pavitravivah – 2015 – The first-ever Maharashtrian wedding festival promises a progressive way forward for the community
At the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East) on 26th & 27th Dec 2015.
Mumbai, 25th Dec 2015: Maharashtrian weddings are not known for a lot of pomp and grandeur, but they are subtle, classy and expensive affairs. Pre 1990’s Maharashtrian weddings used to be an extremely simple affair with rituals being held in houses with close family members. However, from 1990, the whole trend of Maharashtrian weddings changed with the advent of cross-community bonding and improved standard of living. The first-ever 2-day Maharashtrian Wedding Show titled, Pavitravivah – 2015  will be held in Mumbai at the NESCO Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East) on 26th & 27th Dec 2015. The show will showcase some of the latest trends and witness live fashion shows, bridal make up and wedding stage sets. The Indian marriage industry is worth Rs125000crs which is expected to go over 500000crs in the next 5-7 years. Targeted exclusively for people planning weddings, the expo promises to be a one stop shop for all wedding needs as well as reflect some of the latest wedding trends.
Many exhibitors will participating in the event which will include wedding planners, information on venues for banquet and marriage halls, designer apparel, photography and videography, jewellery, caterers, wedding cards, gifts, honeymoon destinations, clubs and resorts, beauty salons, spas and fitness centres, destination weddings, astrology and numerology, floral and stage design, electronic and home appliances, financial service providers, insurance, wedding magazines and other lifestyle products, bachelor party ideas, car rental services, bridal gifting and more.

The Day 1 (26th Dec) will see workshops & talks by experts in the field  like Candid Photography, Destination Weddings, Saree Draping, and more. Pre-marital counseling by experts will also be conducted. A grand fashion show will be held in the evening to showcase the various products available at the wedding festival like paithani sarees, vintage jewellery, etc. Day 2 (27th Dec) will host the biggest Community Matchmaking Meet (Vadhuvar Mela) all through the day. Pavitavivah – 2015 will also be addressing social causes towards progressive Maharashtrian Weddings like ‘Food Wastage & Mass Weddings’. Pavitravivah 2015 will be tying up with a helpline which helps donate & distribute the remaining food from a wedding for needy people. Also, proceeds from the event will go towards Mass weddings campaigns in drought ridden areas of Vidharbha.
