Deepika Padukone lost a promising project opposite superstar Shahrukh Khan. Imtiaz Ali is going to bring back the ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, Anushka Sharma and Shahrukh Khan for the second time together. Earlier, there were buzz that Deepika might pair up opposite King Khan but now it is learnt that Anushka Sharma grabbed the meaty project.
According to Rajeev Masand, Imtiaz Ali chose Anushka over Deepika because he felt Deepika has done too many films with SRK and so audience would love to see SRK-Anushka’s pairing more than Deepika-Shahrukh considering Anushka has done two movies with the actor.
Deepika has done three movies with SRK. She debuted with Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’ and followed with ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Happy New Year’ while Anushka paired opposite SRK in her first movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and then done ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’
