Veteran designer Monisha Jaising with muse Dayana Erappa, were present to unveil the first look of the new collection, at the curtain raiser of Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016.
Monisha Jaising has collaborated with Magnum Icecream to showcase her new luxe collection this season.
Model Dayana Erappa looked breathtaking in a luxurious Monisha Jaising evening gown which reflects the trademark colours of Magnum - gold and brown, which is derived from the ice cream and its unique packaging.
“The luxe element of the creation is the air-weight liquid lamè fabric, which exudes nothing but pure decadence! A lot of thought process has gone into delicately pleating and draping this fabric. It has the right amount of peek a boo, with strategic placements of flirty cuts. It feels wonderful to associate with Magnum Icecream and the new compendium is a perfect amalgam of fun mixed with fashion” shares Monisha Jaising.
Magnum has tapped several high-end international fashion designers, in the past. Earlier the brand launched its Magnum Gold bar with designer Zac Posen to create a $1.5 million USD 24-carat dress to help promote the new flavor. Other global fashion collaborations by Magnum include Dolce & Gabbana, Karl Lagerfeld and BCBG.
